Yes, He Had No Banana

This morning Kieran had his first experience with solid food--mashed bananas--and he was not impressed. It took awhile to coax him to open his mouth, and when the banana hit his tongue he scowled. After that he kept his lips firmly closed. He did enjoy playing with the spoon and some banana that I deposited on his tray.

I was suprised he wasn't more interested. The boy is an enthusiastic nurser, and he has grabbed food off my plate and attempted to stuff it in his mouth before. I imagined him eagerly gobbling down his first taste of solids. Oh, well. We'll try again tomorrow.
